To find the zeroes , Just need to put 0 instead of y .

`0 = (x - 5)(x + 4)`

`(x - 5)(x + 4) = 0`

`a = 0 \: \: \: or \: \: \: b = 0`

`x - 5 = 0`

Add sides 5

`x - 5 + 5 = 0 + 5`

`x = 5`

Or

`x + 4 = 0`

Subtract sides 4

`x + 4 - 4 = 0 - 4`

`x = - 4`

Thus the zeroes are :

( - 4 , 0 ) and ( 5 , 0 ) .
