Answer: x = -1, y = 2

Explanation:

=> 8x + 5y = 2 (Eq. 1)
=> y - 2 = 0 (Eq. 2)

We can Solve Eq. 2 :-

y - 2 = 0
=> y = 2

Substitute value of ‘y’ in Eq. 1 :-

8x + 5y = 2
8x + 5(2) = 2
8x + 10 = 2
8x = 2 - 10
8x = -8
x = -8/8
=> x = -1

Therefore; x = -1, y = 2

Answer:

Solution: Here, the given equations are,

: \implies8x+5y=2...(i)\:and\:y-2=0...(ii)

From equation,(ii); y-2=0

\therefore \: y = 2.........(iii)

Substituting the value of y from equation (iii) to equation (i),we get

: \implies{8x + 5y = 2}

: \implies{8x + 5(2) = 2}

: \implies{8x = 2 - 10}

: \implies{8x = - 8}

: \implies{x = - 1}

\therefore \: x = - 1

Thus, x= -1 and y= 2 is the solution.

  • Checking at (-1,2)

8x+5y=2...(i) y-2=0...(ii)

8(-1)+5(2)=2 2-2=0

2=2(True) 0=0(True)
