A plant’s growth rate is observed one time per week over the course of 5 weeks. Since the plant is still a seedling in the first two weeks, the observer starts to record the height of the plant in Week 2. The observer notes that on week 2, the plant is 4 inches high. On week 5, the plant is 13 inches high.
