Width = 25 feet

Explanation:

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2L + 2W

W = L - 20

P = 140

Hence,

140 = 2L + 2(L - 20)

140 = 2L + 2L - 40

Collect like terms

140 + 40 = 4L

180 = 4L

L = 180/40

L = 45 feet

Length = 45 feet

Width = L - 20 feet

=( 45 - 20) feet

= 25 feet
