ok x so first I will multiply 8^2 by pi, that gives me an infinite decimal.. but after rounding it up to 1d.p, we get 201.1 inches which is your answer

I'm guessing you meant πr² because that's what you use to find the area of a circle.

Anyways, we know what the radius is, it's 8, so now we just need to plug it in.

π8² = 201.06

or you can do

3.14(8²) = 200.96

Using π just makes it more exact.
