Consider the line y = x+4.

Find the equation of the line that is perpendicular to this line and passes through the point (-8, 6).

When finding the perpendicular slope, you wanna find the reciprocal of the slope and make it negative if it’s originally positive and positive if it’s originally negative. For instance, a slope of 2 would become -1/2. Hope this helps!
