y=x-7...............1

5x+2y=7......2

reset eqn .....2

2y=-5x+7

so; y=-x-7 ×5

2y=-5x+7 ×1

5y = -5x -35

2y = -5x +7

5y-2y = -5 + 5 -35-7

3y = - 42

y = 14

sub y=14 into eqn ...........1

y = -x -7

14 = - x -7

14 +7 = - x

-21 = x

x = 14 , y =-21
