Answer: y= -x^2+4

1. Write down the formula:
y=a(x-h)^2+k

2. Find the coordinates.
(H, K is the vertex form)
H, K= (0,4)
X, Y= (1,3)

3. Plug in the numbers into the formula
y=a(x-h)^2+k
3=a(1-0)^2+4

4. Solve for “a”
a= -1

Answer: y= -x^2+4

Pssst.... you can also use Desmos to help you with graphs. :)
Also Desmos is a great way to double check your work.
It is y= -x^2+4 because if you put it into Desmos it gives you the same coordinates and the same graph.
