You started a savings account with $125. Every month, you deposit $55 into your savings account. What is the linear equation that represents this relationship? y=55x−125y is equal to 55 x minus 125 y=125x+55y is equal to 125 x plus 55 y=55x+125y is equal to 55 x plus 125 y=125x−55

Answer:

Explanation:

Given Initial deposit = $125

If each moth $55 is being deposit, the balance each month will form an AP as shown;

125, 180, 235...

The nth term of the AP is expressed as;

y = a + (x-1)d

a is the first term = 125

d is the common difference = 180- 125 = 235-180 = 55

Substitute

y = 125 + (x-1)55

y =125+55x-55

y = 70+55x

y = 55x + 70
