A student has some $1 bills and $5 bills in his wallet. He has a total of 13 bills that are worth $45. How many of each type of bill does he have?

Answer:

8 $5 bills and 5 $1 bills

Explanation:

5x8=40, which would be $40

1x5=5, which would be $5

$40+$5=$45
