Explanation:

f(x) = 2x^2 + 4x - 3 g(x) = 5x - 2

f(x) - g(x) = (2x^2 + 4x - 3) - (5x - 2)

= 2x^2 + 4x - 3 - 5x + 2

= 2x^2 - x - 1
