When a transversal intersects two parallel lines, eight angles are formed.

The angles which are in the same position on same side of each line intersected by the transversal, are called corresponding angles.

Corresponding angles are congruent.

So,

Angle 6x+4° and 100° will be congruent or equal


6x+4 = 100\\6x =100-4\\6x = 96\\(6x)/(6) = (96)/(6)\\x = 16

Hence,

The value of x is 16
