How are run on sentences and compound sentences different?

Answer:

Basically, a run on sentence is a sentence that has two complete sentences that do not connect properly. An example of this would be "I am cold I wore a blanket" to correct this you could say "I am cold, so I wore a blanket"

A compound sentence would be a sentence with two independent clause, joined by a coordinating conjunction. An example of this would be "I will go shopping or I will go camping"
