Explanation:

Given: Weight of a gallon of water = 8.34 pounds

Then, weight of the water in container = (Weight of a gallon of water ) x (amount of water)

If A = amount of water (in gallons)

W = weight of the water in container ( in pounds)

i.e.
W= 8.34A

Hence, the required equation : W= 8.34A
