Answer:

c = 35

Explanation:

27 = 12c - 5(6 - 2c)

27 = 12c - 30 + 10c

27 + 30 = 12c + 10c

57 = 22c

57 - 22 = c

35 = c

27 = 12c - 5(6 - 2c)

First I’m just going to flip the equation around to make it easier to read:

12c - 5(6 - 2c) = 27

Next we will multiply everything in the brackets by what is on the outside of the brackets (remember a negative times a negative is a positive):

12c - 30 + 10c = 27

Now I’m going to add the like terms (things that have the same letter):

22c - 30 = 27

Now lets isolate 22c by adding 30 to both sides:

22c = 57

Now divide both sides by 22 to get the value of c:

c = 2.59

I hope this makes sense and helped you, if it did then a thanks would be appreciated!

Also if you have any other questions please do just ask!
