Answer:

slope= 2

Explanation:

Rise refers to how many units the slope "rises" before it "runs" to get to a value on the line. The rise is 2 and the run is 1 therefore your slope is 2/1 or 2. hope this helps.

Answer: 2

Explanation:

The rise is basically the vertical line and the run is the horizontal. So you need to make a triangle using the given line to find the "slope" also known as the gradient.

So if you make a line connecting the point (2,0) , (4.0) and (4,4) then you will make a triangle. And then look at how many boxes the vertical line is using up which in this case is 4 and how many boxes the horizontal line is using up which is 2. And then you use the formula
(rise)/(run) which will be
(4)/(2) which then to write in simplest form will be 2 so the slope of the line is 2.

You can create this triangle in any part of the graph, using up how many ever boxes you want and get the same answer regardless. Try making a triangle connecting point which are perfectly on a line of the grid instead on in between any lines, its just easier.

Hope this helps:)
