You observed light passing through lenses and through a set of prisms. Why does refraction occur? Include your lab observations in your answer.

Answer: Light bending

Explanation: light slows down when passing through the glass. Each color slows down a different amount making light bend

Since it wasn't enough info here, When light passes through lenses and through a set of prism then refraction will take place as the light is traveling from a rarer medium (air) to the denser medium (prism or lens). It is because of the change in the speed of the light.
