Hatshepsut
Queen Hatshepsut was the very
female pharaoh. There were many
other female rulers before her, but Hatshepsut was the first female to be called
a pharaoh.
Hatshepsut ruled with her stepson for a short time. Then she declared herself
the
pharaoh.
