Explanation:

2p+3=5-6p Subtract 2p from both sides.

-2p -2p

3=5-8p Subtract 5 on both sides.

-5 -5

-2=-8p Divide by -8 on both sides.

/-8 /-8

1/4=p or (as a decimal) 0.25=p
