Chucky but right now I'm in class so I actually get back to you with this but if I were you what you would do is first you would add your two whole numbers and then you add you top number and then when you add your two whole number you put for and the box that is much beside can you put on then after that you put five in the top box and 12 on the bottom box if I were you that's not with you but since you're subtracting you keep your denominator you subtract 3 from 1 which is 2 and then you subtract 11 from 4 which is 7 and then you would get to and 2 and 7/12 that's your answer
