Perspective was not used in prehistoric art, making all figures flat and 2 dimensional. Also, prehistoric art was often made with limited materials, while more modern art is often created with a wide variety of supplies, ranging from pencil, to paint, to clay. The similarities are Both prehistoric and current art are outlets of creativity, along with often being useful, like with artistic maps, and depictions of animals.
What are some of the issues that the Lascaux cave has faced since the year 2000?
fungus infestations have followed over the years that threatened to destroy the priceless ancient paintings. The conservation process is still ongoing up to the time of writing and Lascaux Cave is not open to the public.
