Explanation:

I'm so sorry, but I'm not sure what a constant of variation is. I can still help with the slope though!

To find slope from an ordered pair, subtract the y's, and then subtract the x's in the same order.

1-0=1

4-0 4

You can also do this the other way around.

0-1=-1=1

0-4 -4 4

As you can see, both ways of doing this result in the same slope.
