(x-3) is the correct expression

Explanation:

To factor you split the expression apart -

x² + 2x – 15

This breaks up to (x+5)(x-3)

If you multiply (FOIL) these you get your expression x² + 2x – 15

Your answer choices do not include (x+5) so it must be (x-3)
