What reason can you give for the fact that if two angles are congruent then their

measures are equal?

If two angles are congruent, it means that they have the same angle whether in degrees or radians.

Now, angles are said to be congruent so as long as the measure of the angles are the same and regardless of them point in the same or different directions.

They must not necessarily be made with lines having the same length.

For example, in the diagram of the 2 triangles I've attached, angle C and Z are congruent, and they are both marked accordingly by one short curved line. Similarly angle A and B are congruent and they are both marked accordingly by two short lines.
