The correct answer to this open question is the following.

You did not include any context or reference to try to give you two specific things. However, we can help to comment on the following.

European colonization of other countries changed the world in these two important things. First, evangelization. Native Indians used to have their own spiritual beliefs in which mother nature had a prominent figure of honor and respect. When European colonizers arrived at the North American territory, in the case of the English, or at Mesoamerica, as was the case of the Spanish, they evangelized the Indians in the Christian religion.

The other important change was the settling of white European who had a different culture and customs than the Native Indians. White settlers wanted more land to exploit the many raw materials and natural resources in the Americas for a profit. The Indians had a different vision regarding nature.

We even can add another consequence from the presence of Europeans in the Americas. The many diseases they brought that almost wipe out 80% of the Indian population in the continent. Diseases such as malaria, influenza, smallpox, chickenpox, or cholera.

All of these affect us today, because Christianity in ist many forms, is the predominant religion in North America. In Latin America, Catholicism is the predominant religion.

Regarding the exploitation of natural resources and raw materials, modern multinational companies still exploit and affect the environment in many regions of the continent.
