Constituents of crude oil are also separated based on there boiling points. When the crude oil is heated above 250°C, diesel oil, gas oil, mineral oils, fuel oil, waxes and tars will be left in the mixture while constituents such as kerosene, fuel gas and petrol would have been separated/distilled out.
