colors to help them hide from predators if the conditions around them change. Some are brown, some

The peppered moth is another good example of genetic diversity that benefits the species. There used to be mainly white bodied moths, but then during the industrial revolution due to the increase in air pollution they didn’t blend in as well so most of the white bodied moths were easy prey. The increased air pollution the black bodied moths could hide better and therefore they survived better.
