Hello!

Slope formula:

y2-y1/x2-x1

y2: 8

y1: 1

x2: -7

x1: -6

Plug given values into the equation:

8-1/-7 - (-6)

Subtract

Answer:

-7

Explanation:

Since we have 2 points, we can use the slope formula

m = ( y2-y1) /(x2-x1)

= ( 8-1)/( -7 - -6)

= ( 8-1) / ( -7+6)

= 7/ -1

= -7
