Answer:

Economy and Settlement in America.

Step-by-step explanation:

This is my best answer for you. Economy played a huge part in the increased slavery rates.

In America, people needed workers to help on the farms. However, paying someone to do this kind of work could cause a financial burden for the families on the farms. As terrible as this is, the solution back then was to just get someone of different skin color to work for free.

Another important thing to remember is that in England before the United States was founded, there weren't many African slaves. It simply wasn't needed . Only the rich in England owned enough land to need a slave. So why didn't many of the rich people use slaves to tend to their land? Simple answer is that they had more than enough money to actually hire and pay someone to help out.

I hope this helps you out! Have a lovely night!
