Answer:

Slope of a line perpendicular to a line =
(1)/(6)

Explanation:

(x₁ , y₁ ) = (3 , -5) & (x₂, y₂) = (1 , 7)

slope = (y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1))\\

= (7-[-5])/(1-3)\\\\=(7+5)/(1-3)\\\\=(12)/(-2)\\\\= - 6

Slope of the perpendicular line =
(-1)/(m)

= (-1)/(-6)\\\\= (1)/(6)
