Answer:

Required slope = - 6

Explanation:

Parallel lines have same slope.

(x₁ , y₁) = (3 , -5) & (x₂ , y₂) = (1, 7)

Slope = (y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1))

= (7 - [-5])/(1-3)\\\\=(7+5)/(1-3)\\\\=(12)/(-2)\\\\= -6

Slope of the a line parallel to a line = -6
