According to sandwiched model the lipid bilayer is like interior of sandwich and proteins act as breads i.e lipid bilayer is sandwiched between two protein layers
2•modern evidences does not support this model
3•the one who obsereved it was unable to see catbohydrates which are also present in cell membrane
While according to fluid mosaic model the proteins are not confined to surface of lipid bilayer but are imbedded betwaan them
It is well supported by evidences
It also tells us about carbohydrates present in cell membrane
