I don’t know another way to find the intercept so I backtracked. The slope is 3, so it rises by three and “runs” right by 1. So I went down 3 and left 1 till I got the intercept. The first point was (1,2). The second I got was (0,-1). Then I used Desmos to graph it.

Answer:

y=3x-4

Explanation:

a slope of 3 means that the equation will definitely start like this

y=3x +/- b

to find b, substitute the coordinates given, so

5=3 x 3 +/- b

5=9 +/- b

5-9=b

-4=b

so the equation would be

y=3x-4
