Change -3y + 12 = -8x to the form y = mx + b

Subtract 12 on both sides

-3y = -8x - 12

Divide by -3 on both sides

y = 8/3 + 4

Change original equation to Ax + By = C

-3y + 12 = -8x

Switch -8x and 12

-3y + 8x = -12

(ps, I haven’t done this kind of math in a long time )
