1. Write our the equation. V = l w h

2. Put in as many numbers as you can. 60 = 5 w 3

3. Isolate the variable. To do that perform the mathematical opposite to the target on both sides. So to get rid of five, we have to divide it on both sides of the equal sign.

60/5 = w 3

12/3 = w

4 = w

The width is 4cm
