We should celebrate Veterans Day to honor all the men and women that served, fought and died for our country. These people fight for our freedom, answer when they are needed, and help protect our country. They take on many challenges that we will hear about forever.
They have fought many wars starting with the revolutionary war. They fought so that they could have their freedom. So that we could have our freedom. In the 1860s they fought the civil war so that we could have the freedoms we have today. They also fought in the two world wars and when September 11, 2001 came they gave up their lives so that we could make the world a better place.
Throughout history the brave marines, soldiers, Air Force, and coastguard to preserve our freedom and our rights. They risk everything so that we as citizens can enjoy our everyday freedoms. Such as freedom of speech and the freedom of religious beliefs.
So one day out of the year we should honor the brave men and women that protect us. Because without them we would not be where we are today. We would not live the way we do or believe what we believe. That is why we should celebrate Veterans Day once a year. To honor the brave people that give up their lives to save ours.
