Explanation:

The slope is given from the start, which is -2, so you would plug that in for m to make the equation y=-2x but this IS NOT YOUR ANSWER

I was able to graph it, although there are multiple ways to do this.

Next you have to find the y-intercept. You use your coordinate (1,4) and go up twice (positive) (1,6) and go to the left (negative) to get the point (0,6) giving you your intercept.

Plugging it into the equation for b, your equation would now be y= -2x + 6 giving you your final answer

Since we already have the slope we just need to find the y-intercept.

To do that just plug in the point you were given. (1,4)

4 = -2(1) + b (b represents the y-intercept)

4 = -2 + b (add 2 on both sides)

6 = b

y = -2x + 6 is the equation
