Difference: 0.04

Explanation:

you need to add every number and then divide by the amount of numbers to find the median so:

1.96 + 2.09 + 1.79 + 1.61 + 1.75 + 2.11 + 1.84 = 13.15

now divide by how many chunk of numbers are there so:

13.15/8 = 1.64375 ( there is your median)

the difference from 1 and 3 = 1.79 - 1.75 = .04
