Explanation:

you need to use the point slope formula y-y1=m(x-x1)

with this equation, this looks like y - -1 =- 5(x - -4)

double negatives are positives, so to keep this easier on the eyes, let's make it y + 1= -5(x + 4)

distribute the -5. you should get y + 1 = -5x - 20

subtract 1 to move it from the left side to the right and you get your answer!

y = -5x - 21
