Explanation:

Multiply the 5 by x+4 then copy the -3x+3=5. It will be 5x+20-3x+3=5.

Then subtract or add the like terms

5x-3x and 20+3. It will be 2x+23=5

Then add -23 to both sides

It will be 2x+23-23=5-23 then solve it will be 2x=-18 then divide both sides by 2 to find the value of x
