Answer:13.7

Explanation:

The question is asking us to build an algebraic model of this question, to do this, we need to use the slope intercept form.

Let's first identify the known data. We know that a pizza with two toppings is 9.95. In addition, we know that a topping itself is 1.25. We need to find the y intercept first in order to solve this equation, therefore we need to find how much a pizza his without the two toppings. So, we do 1.25(2)=2.5 and subtract it from 9.95. 9.95-2.5= 7.45. Now, this is our y intercept, because this will always stay the same and this is where we always start off. The slope itself however will be 1.25x, because x is the amount of toppings. So, as of now, we have constructed our equation

y=1.25x+7.45

We are looking to see how much a pizza is with 5 toppings, so we plug 5 into x

y=1.25(5)+7.45= 13.7
