Solve this linear equation using substitution. (Please show work!)

y = -x
y= 3x - 4

Explanation:

So if you look at the two y= equations, you'll see that you can make them equal two one another because they both equal y

Placing the -x in place of y for it to look like this; -x = 3x-4. Subtract the 3x to the other side to get -4x =-4. Then divide the 4 from the x to isolate it and you get x=1!
