In two or three sentences, explain why the following scenario is an example of wage discrimination: Jack and Jill work in the same company and perform substantially equal jobs. They also have similar training and work experience. Yet, Jack earns a higher salary than Jill.

For a long time, it has been known that even if women can do the same amount of work as men / and sometimes more, women always have a disadvantage in the workplace because people were biased towards men thinking women couldn’t do as good of a job
