(rise)/(run) approach for this. You start at the first point, (0, 2). Then, you go down 2 units to get to the same y level as the second point. Then, you move 1 unit to your second point.


-(2)/(1) is your slope.

Reduce it: -2.

You can also use the slope formula (
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)) with the two points [(0, 2) and (1, 0)]


(0-2)/(1-0) = (-2)/(1) = -2
