2) y° = 42°, x = 15°

Explanation:

1) To find y° look at the right triangle with the other angle at 32°

32° + 90° + y° = 180°

y° = 180° - 122° = 58°

Now the other triangle contains

27° + y° + (180 - x°) = 180, plug for y°

27 + 58 + 180 - x = 180

x° = 85°

2) To find y°, add angles

65 + 31 + 2y = 180

96 + 2y = 180

2y = 84

y° = 42°

To solve for x°, add inside angles to 180

4x - 1 + 90 + 31 = 180

4x = 60

x = 15°
