4.Gregor Mendel crosses two pea plants. One pea plant has purple flowers (Pp),

which is dominant trait, the other has white flowers (pp), which is a recessive
trait. What is the probability the offspring will have purple flowers? What is the
probability that they will have white flowers?

Answer: 25% chance they will have white flowers.

Explanation: a recessive gene can only be expressed if both parents recessive genes line up (pp). A punnet square will show that there is only 1/4 chance that both recessive genes will line up
