Last Sunday 1,575 people visited the amusement park. 56% of the visitors were adults, 16% were teenagers, and 28% were children ages 12 and under. Find the number of adults, teenagers, and children that visited the park.

Answer:

882 people were adults, 252 were teenagers, 441 were 12 and under

Explanation:

0.56 x 1575=882 (adults)

0.16 x 1575=252 (teenagers)

0.28 x 1575=441 (12 and under)

Answer:

First we less the sum of 56% and 16% from 100% to get our percentage of visitors under 12.

Percentage of visitors under twelve = 28%

Then we take 28% of 1,575.

Easiest done if we use the fraction .28 instead of 28%.

Number of visitors under twelve= 441
