we're basically solving for x. I've always been taught to make the equation from the words and solve from there. if we do that we get 10 - (3 x W). So we need to figure out what W is. 4 and 2 equal 8. let's put that in. 4 times 3 is 12 and 12 - 10 equals 2. the width is 4 wile the length is 2
