If you write a fraction that is equivalent to 3/5 but has denominator 30, my number will be the sum of the numerator and the denominator of this fraction. What is my number?

Denominator of equivalent fraction is 30.

To find:

The sum of numerator and the denominator of this fraction.

Solution:

We have,


Fraction=(3)/(5)

To make denominator 30 multiply the numerator and denominator by 6.


Fraction=(3* 6)/(5* 6)


Fraction=(18)/(30)

Now, add numerator add denominator.


18+30=48

Therefore, the required number is 48.
