Rate of Change = 5/3.
Also called slope, or rise over run.
To find the rate of change you would do y1 - y2 / x1 - x2. You could also do y2 - y1 / x2 - x1.
For this, you would do 17-12 / 7 - 4. Which is equal to 5/3.
